The general education task force will present the framework to Faculty Senate and University Council for resolution of support. These presentations will complete the work of the task force and, upon receiving these resolutions of support, the task force will be disbanded.
The provost will then convene two standing committees. The general education curriculum committee will begin working with academic units to build course offerings and implement the GenEd30 framework. The general education assessment committee, meanwhile, will work with the standing GenEd curriculum committee to build assessment protocols for courses and the framework to ensure SACSCOC and SCHEV requirements are met.
In addition, the provost's office will work with administrative units across campus to coordinate plans for the implementation, communication and rollout of GenEd30.
Once the GenEd30 is populated with courses and procedures, the entire proposal will be vetted through the standard course approval process across the units and in the provost’s office.
