Provost Weekly Update: April 15, 2016
The topic of this week’s update is the 2016 Diversity and Inclusion Campus Climate Survey.
Early this week all faculty, staff, and students received a link to the 2016 Diversity and Inclusion Campus Climate Survey via email. This survey, one for faculty and staff and one for students, is a tool for assessing current perceptions about diversity and inclusion at VCU and will impact our plans moving forward with the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan of Action.
It is vital that we collect as many completed surveys as possible. Every voice matters in the discussion of inclusion and diversity at VCU and the results will influence and advance our efforts in recruitment, retention and promotion of underrepresented and underserved students, faculty, staff and administrators. More than anything, this survey is an opportunity to help inform the important work we all do at VCU and ensure a welcoming, diverse environment for all.
The survey closes on April 29. Please take the time, an estimated 20 minutes, to complete the survey and contribute your thoughts and ideas. Feedback is completely anonymous and an aggregate of responses will be shared with the VCU community this fall. Frequently asked questions about the survey are available online.
Thank you, in advance, for your support of our collective efforts in the area of inclusion and diversity.
