Not Anymore at VCU: Creating Cultural Change Panel
April 12, 2018, 9:30 a.m., James Branch Cabell Library, Lecture Hall (Room 303)

VCU is sponsoring, “Not Anymore at VCU: Panel on Creating Cultural Change to Prevent Sexual Assault and Harassment.” National, state and local experts will address critical issues in response to the #MeToo movement, #TimesUp and other catalyzing forces. The event is free and open to the university and surrounding communities.

Requests to Participate due: VCU Institute on Inclusive Teaching
April 15, 2018

Presented by the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence and the Division for Inclusive Excellence, IIT involves the discussion, application, and assessment of inclusive practices. A major goal of the Institute on Inclusive Teaching is to expose VCU faculty members, staff members, and graduate students to a range of opportunities, strategies, and techniques for addressing the inclusiveness of their courses, curricula, programs, and services. The Request to Participate deadline has been extended to April 15.

Diverse Learning Environments survey closes
April 27, 2018

The Diverse Learning Environments Survey closes April 27, 2018. All students have been asked to participate via email reminders. Faculty and staff who work with students are encouraged to remind them to participate in the survey. Visit the Division for Inclusive Excellence website for more information on how the survey impacts the VCU community and the opportunity for participating students to win prizes.

Faculty participating in the ceremony must wear academic apparel. Regalia must be ordered by Fri., April 13. For more information, including rental prices, please see this PDF flyer from VCU Business Services.

VCU Community Engagement Institute
May 15-16, 2018

The CE Institute is an annual, free 2-day event open to VCU and the general public that provides participants with foundational skills for community-academic partnership. The Community Engagement Institute provides faculty members, community partners and graduate students the opportunity to build a fundamental understanding of the principles of community engagement.
