The Common Book – Just Mercy
The 2016-2017 Common Book is Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. First-year students received a copy of the book at orientation this summer and were asked to read it before returning to campus in August. During Welcome Week (August 20-28, 2016), students will exchange ideas on the book through small-group discussions. Following Welcome Week, the program broadens to involve the entire university community in conversations, events and other learning opportunities throughout the academic year.  For more information, visit commonbook.vcu.edu
