Recruitment Inclusive Champion (RIC)

Bringing the most talented, diverse faculty to VCU.

The Recruitment Inclusive Champion (RIC) program helps to strengthen VCU’s faculty recruitment efforts by building a cohort of knowledgeable champions from units across the university. The Recruitment Inclusive Champions program is delivered by the Office of Faculty Recruitment and Retention (OFRR) in collaboration with the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Health Sciences.  Participants in the program learn strategies to help establish an important foundation to faculty recruitment, thus enhancing the culture of inclusive excellence at VCU as envisioned in Quest for Distinction.

Those selected for the RIC program participate in a nine month cohort-based learning experience. Upon completion, Champions serve their respective schools/units by providing expertise and functioning as a liaison to the OFRR. To learn more about program goals and responsibilities, click here
